must tell you?
what is it that compells us to ‘speak our truth’
we keep hearing its such a good idea,
it doesn’t always feel good. Or is that just me,
wanting to feel loved and loving, and finding it difficult in the in-betweens.
But there is value in those in-betweens… I am sure.
it just sometimes remains hidden, and can take some mining.
and time.. and tea.
“Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the world earth revolves – slowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future. Live the actual moment. Only this moment is life.” – Thich Nhat Hanh
So surprised was I today at a funky new cafe to be told they had no teapots, when I ordered my chai. Funnily enough I had one on the front of my own homemade ‘smash book’.

The same design as my pale pink tea cup! and another gift from my sweet daughter. When I choose this one I think of the power and strength of red.. and it’s support of, and connection to the base chakra. I actually took this photo this morning at my morning tea time . . . strength is quite a focus for me at the moment, the idea that the strong woman within really wants to get some things done!!!
a note about the base chakra :
Root/support Chakra – located at the base of the spine. Its function is survival and grounding, its inner state is stillness and stability. its colour is red and its planets are Earth and Saturn. Its stones are : Garnet, Ruby, Onyx, Obsydian.
Meditation on: I am. Balancing this chakra gives energy to the physical body, controls fear, increases overall health and helps in grounding. Energies: Earth, Grounding, Focusing, Centering.
I have been through times of depletion and exhaustion and was inspired to create some paintings in support of some of the chakra’s, here is the one I did for the Base Chakra.
